14 Feb 2023

Ferrari launched their 2023 championship contender from their home base in Maranello, Italy.

After finishing second in last years constructors championship, the Italian outfit will be looking for improvement in performance on and off the track this year.

Mattia Binotto has now left the team and Fred Vasseur, previously the team principle of Alfa Romeo, has joined looking to steady the ship.

Speaking at the launch event in Maranello, driver Charles Leclerc said: "I can’t wait for the new season, 2022 was a good step forward compared to two difficult years before."

“I’m really looking forward to this new car. We’ve tried to address the weaknessess on this car. The motivation is to win. I’m looking forward to getting back in the car and hopefully trying to win the Championship.”

His teammate, Carlos Sainz was also enthusiastic, “It was a long winter for us,” he said. “Immediately January 1st, my body wanted to go racing again! We’re fully charged up."

You'll be able to see the SF-23 on tracking at pre-season testing in Bahrain from Feb 23rd to the 25th.
